Time Flies

“Your hand can seize today, but not tomorrow; and thoughts of your tomorrow are nothing but desire. Don’t waste this breath, if your heart isn’t crazy, since “the rest of your life” won’t last forever.”
― Omar Khayyam
The older you get the more precious time becomes and you start to grieve for all the wasted moments, for those times when your insecurities and worries stopped you from following your desires. I am obsessed with time travel and second chances, parallel universes and what ifs, but these are just fantasies and so I created this portrait as a beautiful reminder that the most precious thing we have is only finite, and it’s up to you whether you fall or fly.

Time Flies is created out of a photo I shot of myself in the backyard, a lavender garden photographed at Maleny Botanic Gardens and a moody sky taken from my house. It was created to illustrate the various methods that can be used to replace a sky in an image. You can read more about the photo and the process for changing skies here.
