“A garden to walk in and immensity to dream in–what more could he ask? A few flowers at his feet and above him the stars.”
― Victor Hugo, Les Misérables
Dream’s Quest was created when I first began experimenting with compositing and had started to realise the power of using Photoshop to give my imagination a voice and make the ordinary extraordinary. Suddenly the borders of my world shifted where I could take a portrait of myself in my garden and using my imagination could row off into the unknown, pursuing my dreams.
I combined a garden I shot in Pitlochry in Scotland, a photo of me in my backyard and an oar, pelican and seagull from various other shots. If you are interested in getting started with compositing you can my tutorial here.
