“Shrinking in a corner,
pressed into the wall;
do they know I’m present,
am I here at all?”
― Lang Leav, Love & Misadventure
For a long time I struggled with my introverted nature, the “wallflower” trapped by awkwardness and self-consciousness, dreaming of being confident and free. I’ve since learned that it’s okay to be an introvert, that so many people are, and to embrace it rather than fight it.
Wallflower is created using a compositing technique that is difficult to briefly explain, although I attempt it in this blog post if you’d like to read more about it.
